It's A Yorkie!

So I know I haven't posted in forever, but I wanted to give a heads up on life.

My life that is.

So Update on doggy situation. We are getting a Yorkshire Terrier!!!

Eeeeeeeps of joy for me!!

The story- Not this past weekend, but I believe the weekend before that, we decided to stroll through __________ town square. Just to say, it's a rather cute little place. Bigger than our previous town. And anyhow, after buying some yummy pretzels at one of the cute shops, or it was more of a tiny, little, itty, bitty mall, hehe, we were walking down one of the streets.

-And remember, this is an old town square, so they had those old time-y window things.-

So, we were walking and snacking, and out of one of those windows, three cute little Yorkies were yapping at us. So we looked, and stared, and awwwed, and decided to go ahead and walk. Then I asked mum if it might be alright for us to go in and ask where the lady got them from. And oh! where they just adorable. We were able to play and I had my camera and some film, so I took pictures. Well, we found out the lady actually raises them, so she was very helpful and told us a lot about them. The Yorkies were so cute and scruffy and all three of us (mummy, little brother, and I) just fell in love with them.

As I was playing with one, and my mum was holding another, she whispered into my ear--in Finnish of course--," You can just forget about that other breed." And I just thought how funnny!

Later she told me that the Chinese Cresteds she saw at the breed show were not as cute as these Yorkies, and that she has absolutely fallen in love with them!

So now, I will be getting a Yorkshire Terrier for my birthday. Though, I might not get it on my birthday, or anywhere near April/May due to the fact we haven't yet put a deposit down, or even found a breeder.

But we will!

So that is just some happy news for me. And also, I was getting over this dreadful cold then, so it's not like I was having a great day, or even weekend, but that just made it all the more better!

And photographs to come soon. I know  I still need to put up Lena W. clinic photographs. And I will, hopefully tomorrow. =))

So this previous Saturday we went down to Waxahachie. Which was fun, it was cold, but fun!
I got to have a lesson on Gunner, but now my legs and back are sore. It's mostly my thighs that are extremely sore! Of course, however, I had a fun time riding Gunner like always.

I will write in more clear detail about the above events maybe later. Maybe, or maybe this was enough....?

Well, I need to go take a shower. I need some sleep. I really shouldn't have been on the Mac as long as I was. Maybe I'll do some more homework after my shower.

IDK....

However, goodnight!!! =))

Chinese Crested vs. Yorkshire Terrier

So as you might know, or not, but I am on the hunt for a dog. Well, really I am on the hunt for the right dog breed, if I get from the breeder I might just rescue and then I won't really care. But anyhow, I am on the hunt. A while ago, I really started looking into the the Yorkshire Terrier breed, researching all the facts, looking into things, you know, the important stuff.

But before I was too interested in Yorkies, I was really loving the idea of a Chinese Crested. I pretty much obsessed over them, ask my mum or any of my friends. But I then came to realize that with my lifestyle of being at the barn 24/7, literally, I might not want a Chinese Crested according to all the info that I had been reading up on the breed.

But my love for those dogs never faded, just maybe got a little hidden, but it was still there.
So of course I was happy about some info my mother had told me about these wonderful little creatures.

Last fall (2008) she went to this Hanoverian breed inspection with my mum's boss because one of her horses were there. And while there, she happened to meet a lady who breeds Chinese Cresteds and who also had two --I believe-- with her. My mother, being as lovely as she is, asked about them and their skin (remember I like the hairless kind, I find them so adorable!) and health issues, and going to the barn and all that fun information. The lady told her that all that stuff is fret over way too much. She takes them to the barn with her, and as for the skin issues, she puts regular lotions on them, like the natural kinds, and washes them in normal stuff. She said --I believe-- that she doesn't really worry over all that nonesense and they do fine at the barn and overall. My mother told me that the lady is planning to breed again, maybe, and that her boss knows the lady. Need I say more?

Whatever happens, I still am looking out for this delightful breed. Plus they're rare. Like a Birkin bag, but honestly, better! Because it's a dog.

So I am on the hunt for a dog. I want a dog. I really want a dog.

Must. Have. Dog!

There are also some other dog breeds that I am interested in, but these are really just my two favorites.

French Bulldog-I want One!

So you may not know, but I really want a dog for my next B-Day, really want one!! Maybe not the colour as the dog in the picture above. I have decided between two dogs, the French Bulldog and the Yorkshire Terrier. I have gone through a long process of thinking, and I think that the Frenchie might be the best bet. Either way, I just feel like saying, "I want a puppy!" Something that I say to my mum day and night to remind her of my deep passion of wanting a dog.
