When there is no cake, I want Lulu Frost!

Certain dresses, victorian inspired stuff, ruffles, certain colours, pearls, Rachel Leigh - all of them make me crave a really nice, decadent cake. Why do so many things make me want cake? I am now able to add Lulu Frost to the collection of 'pretty things that make me want cake.'
Maybe because ever since I watched How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days and their pitch line for those gorgeous jewels was "frosting."

Good frosting= good cake, no? Frosting also comes in many colours that are decadent, and certain jewels hold these decadent colours. Are colours even able to be decadent? Oh geez-loeez I will work myself into a tizzy thinking about this.

"Ladies! Frost yourselves" was what Mathew McConaughey's character "Ben" shouted out the window of what I believed to be his workspace.

Lulu Frost's jewels are these gorgeous, beautiful pieces that make you want a certain lifestyle, whilst at the same time make you feel beautiful as who you are. Her collections are so different, but there is this beauty -and of course her chain, ribbon, and other key things- that bind them together. With her stuff, there is no certain collection, or even piece, that I can say "I want that more than the other." I think this time, something might be impossible -making those words come out of my mouth. I simply love A L L

Ladies, take Mathew McConaughey's advice and "go frost yourselves!"

Let Them Eat Cake!

I was surfing through YouTube and decided to check out NylonTV and one of the videos I decided to watch was the 'FASHION WEEK SS'09+ABIGAIL LORICK SHOW.' It mostly caught my attention because it had Abigail Lorick's name in it.
Not too far into the video, I decided that I pretty much want EVERYTHING from the shoot-cake, clothes, jewelry/accessories, furniture (HAHA), apartment.

I w a n t it all!

Today my friend told me know that she had just received her NylonMag in the mail ( I hope mine comes soon!) and said that is was filled with all sorts of fun; well, I haven't been able to experience the NylonMag fun, but I sure know that NylonMagazineTV on YouTube is full of fun! You should go check it out ASAP- and that's an order!

I was able to eat cake today because my mother, her aunt, and I decided to bake a cake. Mmmmm! It was a Finnish Citrus cake, or Sitruunakakku.
Tosi Hyvää!

note:: all three photos were taken by me!
As you can see, we have already eaten some of the cake, but it still looks good!

Pretty Object Time!

So as you may, or may not, notice, I have made a list of fashion related websites that I frequent. So today, since I am sitting here bored! I decided that I am going to do a piece on one of those websites.

I have a lot of fetishes, well not a lot, IDK. The list could go on and on if I gave it that attention, but for now, I will stick to what just pops up. First off, handbags! I love love purses, like no kidding. So, purses, shoes, and then the one that's been climbing my list for awhile now is jewelry! I love accessories, as you can tell since handbags and shoes are at the top, but I never truly adored over jewelry. It started to develop later on when I was maybe in my pre-teen or early-teen years. I have always loved it, but the true appreciation came later on...

I forgot how I found out about this label, but I am sure glad that I did. I do remember though, that soon after that, I found out that some of their necklaces were featured on Gossip Girl, which I didn't mind. What I absolutely love about them, is that their jewelry is very unique. Its not really like any other. I don't know what it is about it, but I am really attracted towards the label and their jewelry.
I especially love their necklaces! That's probably the first I look to when I look at accessories or jewelry labels/designers.

I really like their necklaces that have just normal daily items such as keys, clothespins, buttons, feathers, or paperclips. I believe it was the necklaces featuring those items that I fell in love and attracted me towards ALEX & CHLOE to begin with.

Some of their necklaces featuring some of the basic items I mentioned.

I do like more of their necklaces, way more! Buuuuut, I do have to get some sleep so I can't put every single one up.

Opera Length Pearl Necklaces

May Yeung Long White Pearl Strand Necklace 32" White Shell Pearl $120.00
note: click the picture to go to their website to buy the necklace.

Out of the many things that I love, pearls are one of them. Out of pearls, I definitely love opera length pearl necklaces. Long pearls spice en up any look better than regular length necklaces.

One pearl brand that I really like is Mikimoto, but unfortunately, I can't spend over 12k on a gorgeous necklace. Luckily, I found out about this LA based jewelry designer May Yeung, established by sisters May and Kathy Yeung. They have all sorts of beautiful jewelry in all price ranges; however, their price ranges don't go out of reach. They also have bridal jewelry which I am dieing to buy,  luckily you don't have to be a bride to buy the jewelry. They can also customize the jewelry that you buy to your specific needs. Also, if you want something personal and unique, they do custom jewelry. General Qs&As here
