We Are In Sporadic Times

Or at least I am and I do want to apologize for this, but we had quite a busy week and also the weekend was filled. however, I did get fun in return which wasn't bad. I am going to do a better post sometime soon. I am really yearning to do a fun post! 

Today we went to the beach with the intentions just walking around and getting our feet soaked a bit. That didn't turn out so great - the winds here just made the sand go everywhere! But it was still pretty cool seeing the beach and how cool the sand looked with strong winds making it go crazy from the car. It was a different view point that I did not regret seeing.

 I just really love the architecture here though, so different and something that I don't think I would get bored of. 

I know I definitely want to split my time between New York, Dallas, and LA (area including all cities around it), but I haven't decided where Los Angeles. I used to want a house right at Venice Beach, but now that I think of it, I would rather have a beach front home in Oxnard. More privacy! 

To wrap things up, I had a very fun day. Afterwards, we hit up VONS and got some s t r a w b e r r i e s! Mmmmm! Delicious!

That One Song

So I am trying to find this one video on YouTube, but unfortunately I didn't find it. It was that scene from Ocean's Eleven where they are standing in front of the Bellagio (sp?) water fountain, and that one classical song is playing. Oh! do I just love that song. I have this CD set of two where it has classical, soothing pieces to help you go to sleep, and on it has that piece. Oh gosh, I would run up the stairs to get it, but ahhh! I won't. Anyhow, I love that piece, and it also plays during that song and I wanted to post that video on here. I think they are the perfect combination together, the water fountain and that piece...

These are such pretty photographs! I like the model, she's not what you usually would expect...

So right now I am watching Diary of a Mad Black Woman, again. HAHA I like that movie, but now I am actually seeing from beginning beginning and understanding it.

Comment- You are different! Why would that ever be a bad thing? Celebrate it rather than fear it...And who wants to be accepted by everyone anyway?

New Banner for Header

I finally got to it--making my own banner for the header! I wanted something simple, but still very, very cool; and I think that I accomplished it. I didn't really want anything fancy, or busy, so the one I have I think will do. 

I just used this simple Seashore thing that I downloaded for free off of the internet. I don't have any photo editing thing on my mum's Mac; everything is on my laptop, which is down for now since we haven't yet gotten that new battery and charger. Whoops! 

Anyhow, I used the Seashore thing, which was a little frustrating but oh well, it got the job done right? I want to buy Adobe Photoshop and all this other stuff, but when I buy it, I want to be able to use it right away, which won't be the case since life is a little bit hectic now. Ah oh well.

So, let me know if you like it, I do. I think. No, wait, yeah I do like it. It makes me feel proud that I made it. The photographs were found on style.com from todays (February 20, 2009) fashion shows during NY Fashion Week--correct me if I'm wrong.

He is my dream guy. The whole aesthetic of it is very appealing and quite lovely.

I like to take picture of things that either inspire me or catch me. Photography is about capturing the moment. But what leads me to that moment is just as important. When I see something that inspires me, I have this rush of having to photograph it. I know I need to do it fast before the moment goes by, because at that moment, it's special. I also photograph things that catch my eye; even just from the corner of it. I like to open a whole new world through photography and writing. Writing is not only a way to express myself, but to bring a whole new light to things, open up a new world.

I consider fashion not only what you wear, but a way of art and expressing yourself. I consider Mademoiselle Chanel's famous quote about fashion really important considering it changes people's view on fashion...Hopefully.

I don't like to label myself in the way I dress. If you saw me one day, you might think that I dress in a very classic manner; but then on another day someone else might see me and think that I dress in a very undone and let loose way. I don't like labels (As in I can only wear one type of clothing like "goth", "emo", so "n" so, not like Ralph Lauren, Philip Lim, etc.). I experiment with what I dress, and also dress what I'm in the mood for. I am not a label snob (As in Ralph Lauren, Philip Lim, etc). I mix it all up.

simply whimsical and stunning. Makes me believe in happily ever after...

I laugh at every F.R.I.E.N.D.S episode still, even though I have seen each one about a million times.

My favorite brands of all time would have to be (In random order except for Chanel, always on top!), Chanel, Ralph Lauren (all), Oscar de la Renta, Marc Jacobs, Calvin Klein, Valentino, Vera Wang, H&M, United Colors of Benetton (wore a lot of that when I was a baby, so it's just hard not to love it when you get older), I just love Alexander Wang's tee shirts and tank tops! I love denim/jeans, 18th Amendment, Cheap Monday, Acne Jeans, 7 For All Mankind, and let's not forget Levi's. Of course I love thrifted clothes, or digging around in my mum's closet to find new and cool stuff to wear. Even though I may not be able to wear all those clothes (brands I listed), I still admire them from afar and dream of the day that I can just splurge without worrying. HAHA There are a lot more that I love, but I don't want to overdue it...

Recent Update...

Due to recent stuff with school, I just wanted to let you know that I might not post much anymore for awhile. Not exactly a hiatus, because I will still come sometimes when I have a quick second to spare; so I will have to make due with what I get, whenever I do get it. I don't want to completely abandon this blog for a long period of time without saying anything...

I will still come and post things, but they might have long intervals in between them. Then when everything gets settles again, it will be more of normal postings. 

I do hope that time comes soon, as it pains me to type these words. =((

Pretty Photographs.

So today, I picked up the photographs that I took the last time we went to Waxahachie from Walmart, and they are pretty pretty pretty! The enlargements look great as well. The pony that I took picture of looks so cute! I love photography. I have been looking at colleges and found some great ones to get my BA at. Then it's of to NYC. yepeee! 

But I am happy with the photographs and enlargements. Which is a good thing. =))
