I'm Back!

WE GOT INTERNET!!! A few days ago. Good thing we have a Mac that has an internal memory card that picks up wireless signals and supports WiFi (are they the same thing?).

During the time of no Internet I wundered if I should quit the blog. I came to a conclusion that I don't, but I do want changes. I guess for maybe a year or something I have been searching for my own voice as a writer and maybe that's why I have struggled. While we had no Internet, I began to find my voice, my niche. I'm still going through a whole process of self-development and all but I'm getting there. I also have come to a realization that fashion isn't my true passion : art, horses, and writing are. Not trying to say that I don't love fashion because I absolutely do, but I don't want a career in fashion. Fashion has loved me and I loved fashion, but passion wise it's just not there. I love fashion and that's why I want to keep things the way they are; of course I also want to evolve in it as well, but I don't want to mess up my love for it. (Am I making sense?) I am a strong believer in following your passions and going after them and not wasting time on things that you don't have a passionate love affair with. Make sense?

I'm still going to have fashion involved, fashion will always be involved in my life. I love art and writing and that's what I want my career to be based on. I think it's impossible to not have fashion incorporated into my life because I don't believe that fashion is just what you wear but so many more things.

SO, that's for my update. Don't take anything I say super seriously or to a high extent because I am an artist and I change my mind and jump from bus to bus frequently. I'm still young and I'm still searching...

"Californiaaaaa, Californiaaaaa"

Sooo right now, at this very moment, I am exporting this blog onto my other Wordpress blog. Let's see how that goes, I think it will actually do it!

Here it is, everything IS hectic! Really.

I am trying to catch up on all my Bloglovin' reading, but I guess because I'm exporting, the pages are loading slower, and I also have other tabs and windows open. So ehhhh....

I am also trying to catch up on all the fashion shows on style.com. Everything has just been so hectic here in California. But I made a commitment, and am willing to keep that commitment

Why is it that we commit to other things, and never keep them; but then when it comes to blogging, or lets say fashion blogging (or just fashion in general), we stress over that more than homework?
IDK....
Maybe because fashion is just more fun than homework. Hmmmm..... But why is that, are our priorities simply not on track? If instead we put a little more energy into our homework then blogging, then we would have the grades to get into that college. Orrrr, if we poured our hearts into our blogs, and they got recognized, would it better we have that on our resume or that person that recognized it and gave it that attention on our contacts list? Are you getting what I'm saying? It's just something that has really been on my mind. It seems as if this situation can go both ways. Is there no right/wrong answer?

Something interesting to think about?

I have been watching The O.C. on SoapNet, and I guess I have started to get this "thing" for Mischa Barton. She's sooo pretty, in my book. I used to follow her (on the internet and tabloids/mags that is), but somewhere along the way, I guess I stopped.

The Story of MyTrip

So instead of writing the whole story and everything of the trip, why not link to my mum's blog post since she wrote everything?

We took pictures of us at Venice, but let's just say something happened to the camera. We are taking it to the camera shop tomorrow, so hopefully after that I can upload the pictures.

Hmmmmm....

A Midnight Rendezvous...

with the carrots that is. I'm eating some baby carrots. Yum Yum!

I just wanted to pop in and say hi! Today was a super busy day from the moment I woke up. It was packing day. Gosh, the idea of moving is getting more and more surreal by the minute. I can't believe that I am leaving Tejas! It's rather a bittersweet thing because my friends are here, but I sooo so want to move to NYC. I also want to visit Cali., which is what we are doing before we head out to NYC. I was just starting to make new friends, these amazing friends! But now I have to move away. But like I said, it's really a bittersweet thing!
Hmmmm.... Anyhow, our house is not our house anymore. Everything is everywhere!

Goodness, it's already 0:59! I gotta go sleep. I took a quick break from packing, and that led to something else, the internet!

Hopefully tomorrow I can do a better post, if I find the time.

That One Song

So I am trying to find this one video on YouTube, but unfortunately I didn't find it. It was that scene from Ocean's Eleven where they are standing in front of the Bellagio (sp?) water fountain, and that one classical song is playing. Oh! do I just love that song. I have this CD set of two where it has classical, soothing pieces to help you go to sleep, and on it has that piece. Oh gosh, I would run up the stairs to get it, but ahhh! I won't. Anyhow, I love that piece, and it also plays during that song and I wanted to post that video on here. I think they are the perfect combination together, the water fountain and that piece...

These are such pretty photographs! I like the model, she's not what you usually would expect...

So right now I am watching Diary of a Mad Black Woman, again. HAHA I like that movie, but now I am actually seeing from beginning beginning and understanding it.

I got this lovely comment, but the person put themselves as "anonymous," so whoever you are, Thank You for writing what you did. =))
CommentYou are different! Why would that ever be a bad thing? Celebrate it rather than fear it...And who wants to be accepted by everyone anyway?

New Banner for Header

I finally got to it--making my own banner for the header! I wanted something simple, but still very, very cool; and I think that I accomplished it. I didn't really want anything fancy, or busy, so the one I have I think will do.

I just used this simple Seashore thing that I downloaded for free off of the internet. I don't have any photo editing thing on my mum's Mac; everything is on my laptop, which is down for now since we haven't yet gotten that new battery and charger. Whoops!

Anyhow, I used the Seashore thing, which was a little frustrating but oh well, it got the job done right? I want to buy Adobe Photoshop and all this other stuff, but when I buy it, I want to be able to use it right away, which won't be the case since life is a little bit hectic now. Ah oh well.

So, let me know if you like it, I do. I think. No, wait, yeah I do like it. It makes me feel proud that I made it. The photographs were found on style.com from todays (February 20, 2009) fashion shows during NY Fashion Week--correct me if I'm wrong.

Some pretty photographs from Foto Decadent. Source

The dresses are just oh so dreamy! And delicious! I want French pastries...

Quick Update 19.2.2009 No.2

Ok, so in my other post I also wrote that I will say what I want this blog to be, and what I want it to be about is fashion. I want to write about my musings and what inspires and everything else that's in between that and so much further from that.

I also want this particular blog to be about so much more than fashion. I also love to just write, and I want to write about other things on this blog (but I most likely won't really write "articles" on here, I will just maybe talk about authors). Photography! I love photography, and so I want to post just gorgeous photographs that inspire me. I also want to post about horses, and videos about horses and dressage and also show jumping. Or actually, just anything about horses.

So I just pretty much want this blog to be about those topics-Fashion, Writing (see above), Horses, and Photography. Those things are pretty much my life and I want to write about them.
I probably will post updates--like this--on here at times as well.

Some of my picks from
3.1. Philip Lim Fall 2009 Ready-to-Wear Collection found on style.com

Honestly though, I can't describe what my blog will be. It will be what it has, and whatever I post about in the future. I want it to mostly be a style diary, daily inspirations--of anything, lists of things I want, fashion related or not, and as soon as I get a digital camera (I prefer film, but my mum made me realize that having a little digital one around sometimes wouldn't quite be the end of the world as I knew it) I will post hopefully daily photographs of what I am wearing. I think though, we should just wait and see.

I think though that it was important that I post this so that I can myself have an idea of what I want my own blog to be. I have found that I am a really bohemian person, so I kind of just go-with-the-flow and I can't ever really limit myself to a box. If you are looking for a blog that is solely fashion related, then this is not one you should be reading, because other stuff will get mixed in...
Oh! and also before I forget, I am going to be starting another blog that will only have fashion-related photographs. That blog will only have photographs and maybe a little text, but just to say something about the photographs I'm posting or a quotation or something, IDK, let's see.

But yeah, just wanted to write that and get that out of the way. I need to go take a shower, and trust me when I say need. JK

Ringing In The New Year

I am, however, wundering why Charlotte is dressed in 90s Hip-Hop clothing.
All photos were found through google.com And I take no credit for them.

Once upon a time I heard somewhere that how you spend ringing in the new year determines how the rest of your year goes. Of course I think it was Heidi from The Hills, so we know what that means.

But! If this is true, then I guess I will have a better time blogging and watching Sex and the City or being more like Carrie Bradshaw and the girls because I was blogging and watching Carrie and the girls in Sex and the City. The show though, not the movie.

So my lovely earthlings, what did you do to ring in the New Year?

Eating...Yum! &&&The Consequences...

So I was eating this yummy stuff mum made. It was one of those Target ready boxed meals, but honestly, I like them a lot!!!

Since I am a vegetarian, whenever mum buys something with animal in it, she gets me a smaller box thing with something else yummy. =)) Usually it's this Asparagus Risotto thing, it's my fave.
Yummy yum!

And so the thing that my mum usually gets that I don't like is this couscous chicken thing. But she keeps the couscous separate. So I like to take the couscous and mix it into the risotto. It absolte delish!

Only problem is, I ate too much too fast, and we all know that's not good! And the thing is, I am trying to lose a lot of belly weight! A lot! And when you eat too much too fast, it kind of counteracts that. Oh well. However, mum did tell me that by eating it keeps my metabolism and cycle going so I shouldn't quit eating completely. Arhg!

Oh well, it was still good. I like the taste of food, but the effects are not so favorable.
You know what they say "Nothing tastes as good as thin feels." I absolutely believe that!
It's so true as well.

Now I am drinking water and green tea in large amounts. I was eating a candy cane, they make me feel full when I'm not even hungry.

Well, of to do all the other nothings that need to be done on the blog, and well, just here in this house.

Blog Colours

So I think that this blog skin/colour combo is going to stay =)) I have been playing around and trying to find which combos I like the most. I think I should stick to one for  now. Tell me what you think of the new colours.

Unexpected Hiatus

Sorry for this unexpected hiatus. I have been going through some personal issues, as well, as some family problems; which can take it's toll on blogging, sadly. I have been thinking and brain storming of new ideas and topics for posts. Rest assure, I will publish new posts asap. They might be unsteady for awhile until the chaos lessens. I love blogging and I love writing.

So Little Time

Seems like lately I have been barely posting anything, maybe because it's true. I assure you however, that I will continue to post things. It's just so many things are going on right now that I barely have time to eat. I am getting things back on track and re-prioritizing so that I can have some room left for fun, which includes blogging. I have so much I would love to blog about, and I will, but just after I figure some things out. I will try to post more, after all, this blog just started. How lame of me if I don't post on a baby blog!? Well anyways, I have to go. If I can't go to sleep, and doing schoolwork doesn't do it, I will come research and write. =)
Nighty night!

the Lifestyle Begins

So am using the new widget thing that was made for macs because the dashboard doesnt work for macs. Well that solves my problems of trying to post my first post.
